Definitely needs to be seen by the vet since there could many causes for the ear shaking most common being ear infection.

The best thing to take to the vet will tell you what to do. I was told mine that he will clean his ear with a liquid that they sell in Petco, he also cleaned it with only one water twice a day. Check what you have and thus give treatment.
Your dog may have an ear infection or something in it's ear. I took my dog to Ashton when he was doing exactly what you're describing. And it was indeed an ear infection. I hope this helps.
If your pets ears smell and has a liquid coming out of it it might be an ear infection. Or it could just be ear mites. Either way take him to the vet to get checked out just to be sure.
