are cotton t shirts allowed? and if not what type of shirts are allowed to be worn in the water?

My son wears a swim shirt from costco. I dont know about adults.

No cotton shirt. Swim suit only.

I know that they will allow rash gard shirts but not cotton

I know they aren't allowed but last year I saw a couple dads wearing the thin under armor shirts.
