We flew from Phoenix to Oakland then rented a car
We hired a car in san Francisco . You can go by train to a point then by bus . It's a long journey that way and it doesn't get to the resort By urba its approx $350 one way from SF For us it worked out cheaper hiring a car at the airport that way we had a car to get around when we wanted. Rent a car or can take bart all the way to Richmond last stop. Then take Lyft or Uber.
