Yes
Long as you don't litter or feed the animals you should be fine, and just outside the zoo there's a park with plenty of seating and benches/tables to eat at as well. The zoo itself is fairly small, so you won't be in there for longer than 30-45 minutes on average going from place to place seeing the exhibits.
