Is the patio open during winter and in the rain?

No. They trying accommodate through October but even still most of it is closed down then. And it surely is closed down now :-(

Right, I don't think the patio is open now, as tables are only covered by individual table patio umbrellas. However, the rest of the year when they do serve outside, it's one of the best patios in town, with lovely old wisteria vines that branch out and seem to cover the entire dining area.
