The posted hours are 8a to 3:30p. But from my experience you don't buy any pallets after 1p. Is this normal or was it just something that only happens every once in a while?

It's been this way for a few years anything after 1:30 isn't accepted..that's just for the buying yard...office is there until 3:30p
