I have seen people fishing, I don't think the signs in the water advise it. But I also know that I have never seen anyone (like park authorities) stop someone who has been fishing. So I say go for it, but with caution and check out the signs once you get there.
The water is supposedly contaminated with mercury, so if you fish just don’t eat the fish you catch.
