TPO is historically used by Europeans as a “Below Grade” Waterproofing System. Thermoplastic Polyolefin Is not necessarily less expensive than “proven” Single Ply Roofing Systems like PVC or Polyvinyl Chloride. PVC is the most proven, lasting, sustainable, pliable Single Ply Roofing Membrane. We are Certified IB Roofing Installers and IB roofs have shown barely worn around 40 years old. Can’t say that about TPO, as it’s only been out for 10 years in America and failed for 5 of those 10 years. Put Stephens out of business. We have installed it but I’d rather install IB or a proven product.
My roof is so far so good. Only 1 problem. Moisture is making my lights in 2 rooms partially work. No problems before roofing. I may be wrong. But the roof us all that's new. Eva
