a few months ago a mother cat and two offspring show up looking thin and hungry. now i am stuck with them. they are feral. the kits might be 8 or so months old and and can not be handled now the mother appears to be pregnant any ideas?

U need to get her fixed as well as the kittens. Go to https://webapps4.broward.org/acawebportal. Enroll in SNIP to get a voucher to get them all rabies and neutered/spayed at NO COST to you. Sometimes they may abort if she is pregnant again and spay her. Ask and see. They will notch their ears and u can let them all go again to roam freely!
