The dog that you adopt from Animal Aid will be healthy and well cared for at the time you take him or her home. The adoption fee covers spay or neuter and initial shots including Bordetella and any applicable vaccinations and a bag of food so that you can transition your new family member to the food of your choice. Pet adoptions in general cost $250-$350. Remember these privately owned rescues have to pay employees, rent/ mortgages, phones. Internet, food, healthcare, and so on. Breeders charge in the 1000s.
Just go there and talk to theme like this you will have the right answer. I'm sure the dogs which everybody are looking for their more expensive and the ones that nobody wants they might give it to you for a lower fee. Like the older ones poor babies, not too many people will take them 😥 One thing I can tell you about these people they really really care about the animals.
Best rescue to adopt from. I adopted a dog from another rescue and he ended up heartworm positive. The other rescue wasn't interested in helping with any of that cost. Animal Aid has heartworm treatment and the cost is extremely reasonable compared to any vet. Everybody there is very caring and loving. I've been dealing with this rescue for nearly 10 years
They are very good about prices.
Michelle Heath - there are no pending charges against Animal Aid, we are in good standing with Broward County the only pending charges are to you for stealing Animal Aid's car.
