Seasonal species....... having fished this area for over 45 years this is what I target per season ...... Spring: black drum, tarpon, Ladyfish, Sheepshead, Croakers, snook, sand perch, shark, permit, jacks Summer: snook, tarpon, snapper, moonfish, goliath grouper (channel of bridge) Fall: redfish, snook, tarpon, jacks, black drum, sand perch, mackerel, bluefish, Pompano, shark, tripletail Winter: flounder, Sheepshead, bluefish, mackerel, Pompano, redfish, southern puffers Keep a fishing log, take notes on temperature, barometer, tide, bait or lure used, sky conditions, wind speed ...... it'll help in the future.

My biggest problem is catching so many catfish in this area while fishing from the piers.. is there a rigging technique to avoid catfish while using frozen sardine and shrimp as bait?
