Do both pair of glasses have to have the same correction or can they be different, for different uses?

In my experience they have been able to do two different things. For example I have astigmatism in both eyes and am near sided as well, i get one pair that has both corrections in it and one that only has the near sided correction. I would just ask them to see if they can accommodate your request for the two different things. Hope this helped.

Yes you can get 2 pair for different things, I choose to get 2 of the same because mine are for correction, but yes they gave me the option to get 2 pairs for different reasons.

They have to have the same prescription lenses. But you can progressive for one and the other doesn't have to.
