Well food service workers want to earn a decent wage and your going to have to pay for that. Back in the day most food service workers were teenagers and high school students. But people want to raise a family on working at a restaurant. So you have to pay more since the owners have to pay more. What you really have to ask yourself is it a good value?. Is it better food, more, or higher quality than you get elsewhere. Overall my opinion is yes it beats many other places by quality and taste. The price maybe more but I'm willing to pay more for better quality and taste. But to each there own..
If you go to a Mexican Restaurant or any restaurant you pay $15 on up for 2 chicken enchiladas, a table spoon of rice & beans, no drink included. At Los Cuates you get all the chicken enchiladas, rice & beans you want plus a big variety of other foods, soups, fruit, Jello & also a variety of drinks & Aguas Frescas. I feel $18.99 is a very fair price for dinner. However for lunch I would go to $10.99 like most lunch buffet. We must take into consideration that the first experience customers have is either yes I will return or I don't think I will return to this restaurant. Then again we customers can sometimes be hard to please...
Thank you so much for helping answering the question. Our specials are temporally but that doesn't mean we will stop having specials. We actually have a new special coming out for next week which is for a breakfast deal during, Monday - Thursday, we are also adding some seafood for the weekend and it would be for the same price as any dinner which is 18.99 this will be also temporally probably but like I said we will keep posting specials. And yes we do not pay our employees minimum wage, which keep our staff expense pretty high, but what I can say we try our best everyday to give our customers a good experience. Hi!! My experience ... a month ago my husband, daughter, and I arrived at the restaurant. When paying I was surprised by the high price. But I paid ... Seeing the variety of food and the good taste. My husband and daughter told me .... you are not going to eat your words. And you are going to apologize. The food is delicious. This weekend, I plan to invite a group of friends, maybe we are 5 people or 16. I would pay much more elsewhere, and with bad food and bad service. Thank you. I recommend it. The good costs.
