Besides myself, no one was wearing anything. No one bothered me for wearing mine though.
I am concerned. In the past, Lucca has been very careful about maintaining customer distance and masking. Masking is still in place but I was there to shop about 5:15 PM on 12/17/2021 and there was absolutely no control in customer distancing. People were crowded within inches of each other (to be sure everyone had a mask) but at this proximity, given the increased transmissibility of the Omicron mutation, this is dangerous. I had to ask other customers to give me some space in order to access one of the refrigerated compartments. Customers seemed totally unconscious of the threat. I asked the staff about customer density and separation, they seemed oblivious. One mentioned that there had been control of numbers in the past but as to current policy he seemed to have no information. One got the feeling that no one was in charge in that regard.
Best to call in ur order & pick up at the door. The wait to get in to order can be long.
It's a tiny shop. They let 2 of us in at the same time so we could select our pasta from the fridge. Everything is delicious and worth the wait in line.
No public entry, order at the door and wait outside, or better yet order online ahead of time.
