The "emblem" is called the EGA or Eagle Globe and Anchor and they differ by which uniform is required for a specific billet or duty post. most BDU's have them imprinted in the same manner the camo is done so no pin on's various other uniforms do require a pin on but again the overall make up, ie color can come in a few different variants from a mate black to a solid brass to a brass and chrome plated version for dress blues. Be forewarned if your going to purchase one and display it on your clothing you might get some blowback as Marines take exception to those who didn't earn their EGA displaying one on their clothing with out a rational reason as this will be seen as stolen valor and can lead to complications you didn't foresee before hand.
