No they don't. Apparently some people don't understand that there is actually an allergy to gluten that causes significant adverse side effects. I'm sure these same people have suffered from heartburn and wouldn't think twice about avoiding food because of it. They probably also don't realize that it's called Celiac's Disease and has been around more than 5 years. They probably also don't realize humans have been eating gluten for only a very short part of our evolutionary history. So they could probably stand to read a little bit before flapping their gums. No, I'm not allergic to gluten. But I tend to be allergic to stupid, lazy, and ignorant.
Somehow humans survived until 2014 when the gluten allergy was invented.
