Thanks. We are buying a car from a gentleman who owns a car in New Jersey. When we actually purchase the vehicle and go to the FL licensing office is an insurance card required at that time. We are FL residents. I am trying to be prepared for the visit. Thank you again.
Not unless you're registering a new car in the state of Florida and or unless you become a resident of Florida and are trying to switch it over. Cars outside of Florida can't be registered unless you are a resident (standard is 90 days) - if the latter is the case, you will need proof of insurance. If I answered incorrectly, I apologize in advance. Your question is worded weird. EDIT - Yes, insurance card will be required.
