I think it depends. My family and I, tried both open table as well as the actual website. I forgot which was which, but one would only allow us to book like a month in advance, and the other allowed like a week in advance. So I would suggest to check both the website, and open table.
A week for party of 3
2 weeks
We walked in recently w/ a party of 2 and got seated up on the second level at the sushi kitchen right away; the bar area does not take reservations BUT it's first come first serve and the party size is limited... We love sitting there for cocktails and sushi after shopping at Springs. During our visit the previous August however we made reservations for a party of 4 about 3-4 weeks ahead & were also able to list a dietary restriction for a member of our party. Dōzo omeshiagarikudasai!
I made a reservation the same day. It was for lunch but they were able to accommodate it.
I called and made reservation 7 days ahead for a Sunday night and had to choose 530pm or 8:45.
A week if at least. For special events i would say a month
Their books are open a rolling 13 week ahead via open table
Our experience we went on a Friday at Lunch time without reservations and seated very quickly. Evening dinner reservations maybe needed. Enjoy!
I would say about 2 or 3 days
