They do not carry mice, but they do carry hamsters. The hamsters they carry actually make excellent pets and would do well for your son. They are handled quite frequently and they are not dwarf hamsters. They're the Syrian hamsters which are much gentler with children than mice. They are the larger breed hamsters. I would check them out.
