When does the pool open for the summer? We have reservations to stay there the first week in June and don't want to drive a thousand miles just to find out the pool isn't open, the grandkids will not want to stay.

No, it is not open all year. Depending on weather, of course, it opens on Memorial Day weekend and closes towards the end of Sept.
