I'd get out and walk to the Grand Central Market for some great food during the day. It's about 10 mins away. Otherwise, there's not much in the hotel, nor around it.
Uber will be your friend. In the immediate area there are a few things like Staples Center, LA Convention Center, Disney Concert Hall and can catch the Metro to walk of fame about 15 min by train.
I was there on business so i did not get out of hotel but to eat within walking distance. Hotel is very grand
La is a dirty hell hole, but yes there are a lot of fun things to do

There are so many options within the hotel and with in walking distance that you would have to work hard to not gave fun!
