4 reasons primarily: 1. This is a city with no nightlife, hence the commonly known Sacramento nickname of Cowtown. 2. Late night theft issues. 3. Problems with homeless and/or mentally ill. 4. This part of Sacramento has gotten a lot worse in terms of crime in the past couple of years.
A lot of people steal from winco at night so because of these people. Winco was forced to close at midnight to prevent this. If you look at other wincos they are open 24 hours. Just certain ones close.
Theft.
It has do with the overnight theft and disturbances that have been happening at the store.
It's just the one on Watt Ave. Something to do with overnight theft.
I will ask Thursday when i go shopping. Yes, and yes. Silly people who think that if it isn't nailed it is theirs for the takimg have no idea what repercussions they cause. You reap what you sow though and they will pay eventually. Bad thing is we pay too by paying higher prices and losing conveniences like 24 hour shopping or items being not in stock when we need them. I work retail and they cost me raises hours and put under a microscope by security as if workers are at fault of missing merchandise.
As others have stated already, there was high incidence of overnight theft and disturbance. Too bad, since it was beneficial for many to be open 24 hours.
I agree with Jacob
Theft at night
I like winco but not in watt. Lots stupid people there.. i dont have a chose to go other winco.
They didn't say. But you can assume it wasn't worth the cost to stay open for the few people that needed 24-hour shopping in that area.
