We love it here in Baker. Laid back easy going community. We lived in Portland and in Alaska, but love it here in the high desert. The closest place to get smoke is Sumpter about 26 miles from Baker but the drive is calming and beautiful. Philips resivor is on the way, nice place to camp or go for the day. I've seen herds of elk cross the hiway and deer are plenty. There's a lot of history in our area to explore and other little towns to visit. Huntington is about 40 miles east and there are 2 dispensaries there. We are close to the snake river and Hells canyon. Every year we host the Hells canyon motor cycle ralley which brings in hundreds of riders. There's also the miners jubilee and the county fairs. Baker is a quiet, hardly any traffic place and a great place to raise kids. We don't have much crime here and most of the people are really friendly. Anthony lake has camping in the summer and skiing in the winter and it's a beautiful drive getting there. I would never live in Portlan
We are currently relocating to Baker City from Canby, ore. This is a beautiful area but it is a bit of a drive to get weed in Sumpter. The road up there is awesome in the summer but winter is gonna be sketchy. Way to many advantages to living here though to let that stop us! Gotta buy a bigger bag I guess....lol....just make the move, you won't regret it!....God speed to ya
There all the time. I wish I could be in the area more
Thinking about the move myself...
Thx u brother
