I have a couple of Iochroma that are getting chewed to bits. I am wondering if a systemic insecticide is appropriate and if so, which one. I am a beekeeper and we have hummingbirds so I wont spray anything with flowers on it.

You can try a Neem oil solution. Mix 2 tablespoons of Neem oil into 1 gallon of water with 1 1/2 tsp of a liquid dish soap. Spray the leaves once every couple weeks to keep any insects at bay. Make sure to rinse the leaves in between applications to prevent build up. Also, be sure to apply in early morning or late evening. Never apply in direct sunlight.
