So my dad's defib goes off and he goes to North Chicago VA and sits in the waiting room for two hours.really this is the care that our veterans can expect from this place? Don't go this place is a disservice to our people.

I went to the ER for a simple, one time pain in my heart. They took my vitals and had me waiting ten or fifteen minutes minutes. THEY HOSPITALIZE ME! That wasn't what i expected. They kept me for 3 days and ran all sorts of test. On day four they released me with a diagnosis of mild Cardio Infarction. There was follow up, which I felt was unnecessary. But they insisted on it anyway. The staff at this medical Center is more than good. Take my word for it!😊

Please don't be in such a hurry to judge them on one visit. My question is why didn't u take him to Emergency Room? A walkin doesn't raise any indication of an emergency. I can't say cause not sure of their situation at the time. But we all feel our loved one deserves immediate care. Just know that if it were urgent they would have handled it. But not fair to tell everyone not to seek care there because u feel u waited too long. Im sure it could have been handled better by both parties...

Go to a civilian hospital down the road where their ER put a lady back in the waiting room with chest pains. Checked on her 4 hours later, dead.

I'd bet that was the emergency room.
