Does the Bible prohibit the use of pain medication? I have a lot of injuries and trruma resulting in a lot of pain. I have seen a spine specialist who says surgery will not help and refers me to pain management.

Highly doubt that.

I would say no. There is a lot of healing that happens at the church during prayer and healing nights but you have to do what you need to do to be as close to pain free as you can.

Remember God is the great healer, pain medicines can be used (in moderation) to help you through things, but ultimately your healing comes from Christ, pray for healing… it really works!

Intended as a reply for Douglas Binau (from another reader/studying, student who wanted to give feedback) Remember one of the apostles was a physician in weighing the question too, as well as Jesus mentioning some in need of a physician (specifically cannot recollect in this moment), though it can be looked up easily enough! The pharmakia (where the word pharmacy came from), references might be relevent in some cases where a doctor isn't prescribing, when one self treats, or resorts to other measures (Spiritual Warnings)

Thank you for your post. I do find where Timothy was instructed to use a little wine for his stomach problem
