Probably because corporate cut out hours again so we only have one cashier. We are doing our best.
This sounds like a complaint and not a question. There are many reasons why from my experience but try having some compassion for the person behind the counter. They are stressed out about the situation too but you can help, next time just smile at anyone who will look you in the eyes. You'll feel better and they'll feel better. Otherwise just go when the store first opens, it's the least busy then.
