I noticed on my car, the break fluid is empty. Can I just add break fluid?

No, you can't just add break fluid. The fluid will go low as your brakes wear down but it never be empty. That means you have a leak and need to take it to a mechanic right away. Please be careful driving.

Yes, but you need to pay attention to the brake fluid as you pour it in into the reservoir, making sure there arent any leaks or loose hoses. Make sure your car is on, and have someone slowly turn the steering wheel completely to the left and right as you pour. If the steering wheel is still hard to turn after pouring the fluid, then your pump is likely broken, or a hose in the brake system isnt delivering the fluid.
