The person above is correct, but he can help you figure out if you need medication or not. The doctor prescribes me my antidepressant and I work with Don on other coping skills and such.
To my knowledge, no. I see Don as well as a separate psychiatrist for medication. I believe Don is a licensed social worker (or psychologist...not sure), but not a medical doctor. He can provide therapy, feedback and recommendations. However, I see a psychiatrist separately for medicine as the combination of medicine and therapy seem to work best for me. This is just my best guess, but you could always call to confirm!
What psychiatrist? I can't get in to see anyone down here. Have been without medication since last January.
