I'm sorry to hear that your dissaponted. I am the owner and I'm still there all day every day. The steamers and whole belly's are mostly unavailable for.the last 5 weeks. The 4 bad storms in a row in New England pretty much wiped them out. The prices have not gone up in 3 years although the cost of most fresh seafood has increased by 25%. This is the first complaint we have had about Stacy the bartender. Most people give me rave reviews about her. Maybe just an off day. I'm not sure why fryer grease tasted old. We dump our fryers and start with new oil every day. It's something we are very strict about because everything is fresh and battered and not pre battered and frozen so it tends to wear out the oil more rapidly. The chowder is made fresh daily. I'm not aware that it was bad. We sell approximately 4 gallons per day and rarely get any complaints.
Had s problem couple weeks ago, chowder was bad, no belly clams, and no steamers. Had to settle for lobster rolls. Not what I wanted.
I hope management recognizes that their business is slipping. We use to eat there at least once a week. Spent $170.00 for three people awhile back. Haven't been back since. Seafood platters were fried way to long and the grease was dirty. $36.00 for 2 appetizers of small coconut shrimp. The drinks are where they really put it to you. Drinks and appetizers, off the charts when it comes to prices. Lobster lady is not like it use to be, going down hill fast. They just seem to cater to the snow birds.
I'm happy to hear, as the owner you responded. We will back when the problems are addressed. Thanks again!
