I personally am not a fan of Walmart. For any reason. FoodMaxx is fine, you bag your own stuff and the lines can be horrific. Mostly well stocked. Get the Flipp app and you can scope out all the sales!

Yes on average, food items are cheaper at Foodmaxx. Check your weekly sale ads and you can find deals at all stores, but Foodmaxx generally is cheaper. I do prefer Foodsco meats.
My suggestion is to take a pad and pencil and shop at Foodmaxx and make a list of typical food items you usually buy on one side and how much it cost then the next time shop at Wal-Mart and list the same items on the other side and compare. Plus always look at the advertisements too. Everyone 's food list is different. Good luck to you.
