After purchasing items at a register, the customer takes ownership of items. Upon exiting the store, customers are stopped at the exit to have their receipts and property reviewed and searched. Constitution of United States of America 1789 (rev. 1992) The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.

You're on private property pal. The constitution doesn't quite hold it's own any longer on private property. And I'm pretty sure by entering the facility you wave your rights to the largest retail contributor to the Oligarchy of The United States of America.
