You should receive an email giving you instructions under what will happen if it's not picked up by the rescheduled date. So if it's because of a unfortunate event in this case the weather they should not put it back in the Shelf did will send you an e-mail with further instructions.
I don't think so they usually tell you in the email you have till what date to pick it up by or they then put it back.
