Hi joe, reason why you saw kids on costumes yesterday is because church had a students night where middle school, high school and college students gather together and praise God and hear/study the word and after that they have food, sodas and simply hang out with their friends. In regards about yesterday's event there was a competition on who can make or wear best ( NON scary or inappropriate) costumes mainly superheroes etc..was going to win great prizes. I personally invite you to come and visit this coming Sunday see for yourself and if it doesn't meet your standards then I am sure the holy spirit will guide you to wherever God wants you to be and not to be.
