Not sure how the commute traffic is around the convention center. Is it better to stay north or south of the convention center?

It depends on which concourse you are going to. There are three hotels that connect directly to the West Concourse and one that connects to the South Concourse. If you are going to the North Concourse, I recommend finding a hotel on Universal Bv.

Thanks everyone. My husband is attending a conference at the convention center. We are not going to the theme parks. Booked a place north of the convention center as you all suggested. Thanks so much for the info!

I've lived in the area for over 40 years been doing conventions concerts and Productions and the convention building since their one and only Bill Cosby Show and the late 80s it depends on what you're here for if you here for visit and don't want to deal with the driving in traffic Park and use a trolley they're free travel completely from one end to the other of International Drive you can pick up any and all information from the driver what will be the best routes best places and best of what international has to offer

it depends.. there are many ways to get there but when I work events I like to park across the street on international drive somewhere you won't get towed like McDonald's or Dave & Buster's or something.. and I'll walk across international drive right into the convention center... you could also Park a little further down international drive and just take the bus or trolley

SOUTH of the convention center starts getting in to the real tourists attractions and such.
