Prices change daily based on catch but commercial crabbing opens in a week
when and what day and time fishermen start selling crabs from the pier
We can start to harvest on the 15th. You can expect crab that weekend after and we'll be able to buy it right off the boats. Also there is a fish market that will cook crack and clean your crab for a few dollars. We r hopin for 3.25 wholesale and the dock price will reflect wholesalers price. Hope this is helpful
The commercial season begins next wednsday. The price at my local store is 8.99/lb so I would imagone the price to be at least slightly lower.
That's a demand/supply question actually so no good answer. Depends upon the catch and there can be daily price volatility. I don't know if one would be able to buy futures like you do with other commodities. Would make a lot of sense both for suppliers (commercial fishermen) and consumers (e.g. restaurants)
Depends fair market value, plus it's fresh. Commercial crabbing starts next week
