Red has a smokey spice great on burrito and green has hints of cloves which complement the citrus flavoured carne asada. If i had to choose one for the rest of my life it probably be green sauce.

Red...always. But it's hot. Green is tasty too...but I always choose red.
So red pr salsa rojs is Smokey with a roasted flavor and a bit salty with more heat than the green. The green or salsa Verde is has a more pronounced roasted pepper (think hatch pepper) with a fresher, citrus note. Not as much heat or salt and in my opinion more versatile in terms of combining with a wider array of meats.
