remember the prophetic word in the book of Joel concerning sons and daughters and the scripture written "I suffer a woman not to teach" was for a season
Women do teach
Jesus didn't say that. Paul did, and he didn't have a woman.
Maybe that's OLD Testament teaching. We are now under Grace because of New Testament teaching
At the beginning of the Apostolic church women were on one side of the church and men on the other. They had not received the same teachings as men under Judaism. When they heard the gospel, they were unlearned and would ask questions across the aisles to their husbands and there was disorder for this reson. That is why St. Paul asked for order in the church and to ask their husbands when they got home. Women and men shall see visions, prophesy etc according to Job. Some women were prophets in the old testament. Now proclaiming the word of God in Prophecy is not being silent. God is not a respector of persons and the gifts are given to the children of God. You have to look at the scriptures in their historical context. Look at the old grwek and old hebrew as well.
If another version were used to explain the meaning of the quote, it could be answered appropriately.
Woman could teach?
