The Boat House is one of our favorite places. We have family coming to visit at the end of October, which includes 4 young children. We had planned to spend an afternoon at the private beach, but are concerned about the water. Is it safe?

The river water clarity changes dependant on rain fall and flow. Sometimes it's very clear and other times it looks like coffee. We haven't had a lot of rain lately, so I suspect it's in good condition. There would be signs saying not to swim if the water condition was poor.
