I recently had the same concern. This is a new policy of theirs. It is to protect them in the case of no-shows. Sometimes clients book a 3 hr appt and don't show up. The card is so they can charge you for half the cost of that appointment if you are a no-show.That is time they could have been working on another client, so it's lost money for them. They will never charge your card without your knowledge.
