If I need to ride the train first to get to my bus, do I have to pay my $1.25 twice? If I've bought a RT train ticket, do I have to pay again on the bus? Is there some type of a transfer or something?

If you buy a physical ticket, you do need to pay again. But if you use the mobile app, ZipPass, you can transfer from a train to a bus for free. ZipPass passes are good for 90 minutes.

Ticket prices vary: they're $2.50 for passengers 19-61 years of age, and $1.25 for the following groups: seniors aged 62 and up, persons with disabilities, and students (K through 12). The category you fall under determines your ticket price for a one-way ride. Paying an additional $0.25 for a transfer, will allow you to ride the train one way, and then transfer to a bus for the same trip. In order to get back, you'll need to purchase an additional ticket with an additional $0.25 transfer. Another option is to purchase a daily pass, which the price also varies for: $7.00 for those 19-61, and $3.50 for all other groups. This will allow you to ride any RT bus or light rail you need for the entire day
