Their stated purpose is to sell items business need. Since a lot businesses are closed on Sunday, they also close. You may go to the one on Airport Blvd on Sunday if you need to shop.
This special location is a business center selling equipment (commercial stoves & refrigerators, no TVs) and extra large bulk sizes and varieties (no bakery, no pharmacy and no deli with rotisserie chicken), not sold in the regular Costcos, SPECIFICALLY FOR SMALL BUSINESS OWNERS. If you want to shop at Costco on Sundays, there are TWO nearby regular Costcos in South San Francisco. This location is much less crowded because it doesn't sell stuff for the average household.
