Doctors with special license can prescribe methadone tablets. Either 10 mg pills or 40 mg tablets. And Wegmans does fill the script. And actually they are very cheap. Wegmans has a discount for this Prescription.
Fortunately, Dan MakeSense’s answer is absolutely WRONG. For more than four years I was prescribed methadone tablets in a 30 day supply, just like any other prescription and my scripts were filled at my local Walgreens. No need to go to a clinic every day and be treated like a child. After 4 years my doctor moved me on to Suboxone, which I have now been taking in a very low dose for more than 14 years. Again, no clinic visits. I see my doctor every other month and I get a script, just like any other med, I fill it once a month at my local pharmacy.
Unfortunately there's no way for any Dr or clinic to legally prescribe any type of methodone , it is part of the program for getting clean to travel every day to get the dose of the medicine , this is a highly controlled area of staying clean , I have a friend who has been buying the Suboxone on the street , it's not cheap
