Pros are that you can usually get a much nicer place vs paying for a regular hotel room provided you actually use it regularly to make it worth it. Con is it's hard to give it up or sell if you can't use it anymore.
Only buy one! My brothers and I just got rid of the last of the 13 my folks bought, and they passed 9+ years ago!
