How many cats does the shelter approximately host most time of the year? How many of them can be adopted each year?

Good afternoon Ellen, Over last year, there were a little shy of 365 adoptions. Most cats come from Florida, so the amount of cats in the shelter at a given time varies depending on how many cats we receive from the org down south.

You can view all of our currently adoptable cats on our website, giffordcatshelter.org! The majority of our adoptable cats are local cats who have found themselves in need of new homes, but we also work with other organizations to transport cats in need up to our shelter.
