I received a cutting board as a gift. Both sides have channels for " liquid run off ". Is this primarily for meat or general use ?

Both, I use my Ulu every day, clean after use with mineral oil. Wipe dry.

It can be used for just about anything you want to do with it, that's what the Alaskans dod.
