So sorry this happened sometimes employees do make mistakes but if you bring it back they would happily fix it for you.
Take it back and get your money.we were there Friday and an employee was checking dates and taking expired meats out. :(
They will always refund money for any product you don't like. But just to clarify: There's no federal law preventing the donation of foods to shelters or other organizations. Publix and Lucky's do it every day.
Fed law states stores can no longer give there food to the homeless or org that cook for the homeless, so they hv to throw everything away. Store employees don't like throwing it away & were told they could keep it for 8 days longer on the shelves as it's still good. Always check dates on everything. But, if you keep the receipt of any grocery chain, they will refund you the money if you go back before their weekly sale ends, since pricing deals are always changing. Otherwise you will have to stand while they go back through the register and make the adjustments which could take hours. Sure that you've already dealt with this by now, but for future reference. Personally as I shop if I notice anything it if date I turn it upside down and inform the manager as I leave where it's at and what it is. Usually their will be plenty. Everyone could help everyone if they just cared a little more
💡Always read your expire dates only makes sense before you leave any grocery store 👍
