It is not legal to fly with, period. FAA is federal. That being said, you won't get in trouble if you are caught leaving LA with it, they will just take it. I personally have had no trouble flying with small amounts.

You can have it in lax airport but once u take it back to Boston you're subject to the laws of your home state.
It is illegal for Illinois but I bought some and brought back to Illinois. I didn't tell anyone and only show it to my wife. Someone in Boston can report you have illegal drug and you can be arrested.
You can buy it here but i dont think it legal to take it across states, its something about federal law
