Shirley, Its possible but usually there is an indicator light on the fridge that will show when its time to replace the filter. If the beeping noise is persistent and doesn't go away or goes away for a short period of time and comes back again, its most likely the door alarm. These refrigerators will make a constant beeping noise when the door is left open, or if the gasket is bad or the door switch is bad then the beeping will occur even if the door is closed. I would first try unplugging the refrigerator for 10-15 minutes to reset the control board and then plug it back in and see if that fixes it. If not, check the door switches and make sure they are not stuck and also check the door gaskets. If neither of these fix the problem, give us a call or try contacting GE directly and they might know what is causing it and how to fix it without having to replace parts!
Maybe. Give a call to the store.
Must contact direct
