First time going to a race. Thinking of getting infield camping. Just wondering how the view is compared to the stands and which would be better?

Stands are better.

I go for the drag racing there but my daughter who has been there for NASCAR was a little disappointed because after a few laps it seems like nothing but noise and she wasn't able to completely see everything that was going on. She says next time she'll probably sit in the stands.

Generally the higher you are the more you see, but everyone has different preferences, for me I like being closer to the action, feeling the vibrations and wind as the cars fly by, smelling the fumes from the burning octane, etc... so it all depends on what kind of experience you're looking for.
